1. READY FOR RE-ENTRY

The second phase of the Re-Entry Draft took place on Thursday. Orlando City picked up former New England Revolution defender Kevin Alston, whilst the Portland Timbers added another Jamaican to their lineup in ex-Houston Dynamo defender Jermaine Taylor.


2. GALAXY SIGN STERES

The LA Galaxy added another member of the LA Galaxy II to their senior squad, signing defender Daniel Steres. Steres is the third member of the club’s USL side to make the jump to the MLS level.


3. FIRE KEEP IT IN HOUSE

The first two signings of the Veljko Paunovic era in Chicago are both Homegrown players. Joey Calistri and Drew Connor signed with the Fire to become the seventh and eighth Homegrowns in the club’s history.


4. SAUNDERS EXTENDS WITH NYCFC

New York City FC re-signed starting goalkeeper Josh Saunders to a new multi-year deal. “I love playing for this club,” the club's 2015 Defensive Player of the Year declared. 


5. SOUNDERS LINKED TO PANAMANIAN AGAIN

Could the Seattle Sounders be looking to add Panamanian midfielder Jeanine to their roster this winter? The club was linked with the player back in the summer, and the rumor has resurfaced once again.


6. RED BULLS DENY SAM RUMOR

One of the most interesting rumors over the past few days has been one linking New York Red Bulls midfielder Lloyd Sam with a move to the LA Galaxy. The Red Bulls say there has been no contact about the player.


7. NEAL’S NEW ROLE IN ORLANDO

Lewis Neal's time with Orlando City isn’t over after all. The midfielder is set to take on a coaching role with the club’s academy and do some broadcasting work, all while also playing for Orlando City B in the USL.


8. DYNAMO ADD A KEEPER

The Houston Dynamo have added a new goalkeeper to their squad, announcing on Thursday the addition of Calle Brown. The 23-year-old was the number one for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 2015.


9. MEET THE PEOPLE IN MIAMI

Miami Beckham United's Tim Lieweke was in Miami on Thursday for a town hall meeting for residents of the Overtown district, the potential spot for the club's stadium.


10. SAN ANTONIO STADIUM PURCHASE APPROVED

San Antonio’s quest for an MLS franchise took another step forward on Thursday when the city council approved the purchase of the San Antonio Scorpions’ Toyota Field stadium.

A lot has been said about the decision facing US international and Stanford star Jordan Morris this winter, and now USMNT boss Jurgen Klinsmann has weighed in.


12. COPA SCHEDULE REVEALED
