ST. PETERSBURG, Russia – Bayern Munich youngster Julian Green saw senior team action for the first time in over two years on Wednesday night, working 62 minutes as the Bavarians closed out Champions League group phase play with a 2-0 victory at Dinamo Zagreb.

The US international got the start on right wing, but eventually slid across to the left flank before being removed mere seconds after Robert Lewandowski bagged the winning goal. Green put on a decent if uneventful display, completing 15 of 18 passes.

Green served three crosses into the box, including one that caused a bit of stress for the Dinamo back line. The 20-year-old also pitched in with two interceptions, with one at the door to the Bayern box, and a clearance at the defensive end.

As Group F winners, Bayern will be in the seeded half of the Round of 16 draw, which will take place on Monday. The opening leg of the next round will begin on February 16.
