Report: US international Ventura Alvarado transfer listed by Club America

Ventura Alvarado in action with Club America

Ventura Alvarado's time with Club América may well be up.

According to a report from PasionAguila.com, Alvarado is being transfer listed by América ahead of the upcoming Liga MX Clausura campaign. The 23-year-old center back had fallen out of favor at the club in recent months, and was limited to just seven appearances during the Apertura season, with only one coming after Sept. 13.

Alvarado, who has been with Club América since 2012, won the CONCACAF Champions League as a starter for the team back in April. The US national team defender began the current Apertura as a lineup regular, but poor play and a series of miscues led to him being benched.

Club América are currently in the semifinals of the Liguilla, with a two-legged series against Pumas UNAM beginning on Thursday.
