Report: New York Red Bulls' Bradley Wright-Phillips open to English Premier League loan

New York Red Bulls striker Bradley Wright-Phillips still has some business to attend to in the second leg of the Eastern Conference Championship series on Sunday, but that hasnā€™t stopped the English forward from being linked to a loan move back home.

ESPN FC reported on Wednesday that Wright-Phillips is interested in going on loan to the Premier League this winter, with EPL stragglers Bournemouth reportedly interested in bringing in the 30-year-old striker on a temporary deal.

Wright-Phillips joined the Red Bulls in the latter portion of the 2013 season. Heā€™s been one of the top strikers in MLS over the last two years, scoring 51 goals in 82 total MLS games (including playoffs), tying the league record with 27 goals in the 2014 regular season. He and the Red Bulls will be back in action on Sunday, when theyā€™ll look to overcome a 2-0 deficit to Columbus Crew SC in the second leg of the Eastern Conference Championship at Red Bull Arena (7:30 pm ET, FS1, FOX Sports GO, FOX Deportes in the US, MLS LIVE in Canada).
