Goal of the Matchday

AT&T Goal of the Week Update: 401 Derby up for grabs, with Ignacio Piatti leading Sebastian Giovinco

With all three Canadian clubs qualified for the same MLS postseason for the first time, they're taking their drama down to the wire. For this week, that includes the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week race, with the Montreal Impact's Ignacio Piatti leading Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco as we head into the final day of voting.

Piatti led the way through Wednesday, with more than 38 percent of all votes cast for his weaving run and curling finish in Montreal's key win at the New England Revolution. Giovinco is not far behind, however, with more than 31 percent of the vote for his sharp cut and unstoppable left-footed effort in Toronto's win over the New York Red Bulls.

While those two control the race, there has still been plenty of appreciation for the New York Red Bulls' Mike Grella, who has more than 16 percent of the vote for the fastest goal in MLS history. Federico Higuaín of the Columbus Crew SC (9 percent) and LA Galaxy star Robbie Keane (5 percent) remain unlikely to take this week's prize.

Which goal did you think was the best? Vote now – the winner will be announced on Friday.
