American Exports: Ethan Horvath, Molde down Celtic in Europa League action

Ethan Horvath makes a save for Molde in a Champions League qualifier

AMSTERDAM – Ethan Horvath and Europa League Group A leaders Molde FK celebrated the return of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær with a 3-1 home victory over Scottish giants Celtic on Thursday night.

Despite the visitors owning a large possession edge, the US Olympic squad candidate needed just one save and one punch to run his UEFA tourney play record to 4-1-3. Horvath also now has three straight wins overall and a nine-game unbeaten run across all competitions at Aker Stadion.

As for Molde, they remain clear at the top of the group table through three of six rounds. A win at Celtic on November 5 could potentially clinch their place in the knockout stage and put the club in the last 32 of a European tournament for the first time since the 1996 Cup Winners Cup.
