TORONTO FC vs. COLUMBUS CREW SC
BMO Field, Toronto
October 17, 2015 (WEEK 33, MLS Game #324)
2 p.m. ET (TSN1)

  • Jozy Altidore netted a goal for a second consecutive game in TFC’s 3-1 home win vs. Philadelphia, his 12th goal of the season. It was TFC’s third win in a row; they scored nine goals in the three victories, with seven of those coming from the team’s three Designated Players (Sebastian Giovinco 4, Altidore 2, Michael Bradley 1).
  • Crew SC have lost back-to-back games for the first time since June 3-6, following their 2-1 defeat by the New York Red Bulls in their last match, Oct. 3 at Red Bull Arena.
  • The teams are meeting for the third time this season. In the last meeting, TFC’s Jozy Altidore converted a late penalty kick as the teams ended in a 3-3 draw July 25 at Mapfre Stadium; on March 14, Justin Meram and Kei Kamara scored four minutes apart to lead Crew SC to a 2-0 win in Columbus.
  • The win in the first meeting was Crew SC’s first at home in the series since 2013. TFC have won just three matches all-time in Columbus – two of those coming a season ago.
  • Toronto FC have won their last two home meetings with the Crew, their first ever in the series, after three losses and five draws over the first six-plus seasons.
