LA Galaxy's Giovani dos Santos selected as Mexico announce CONCACAF Cup roster

When the United States and Mexico square off in the CONCACAF Cup on Oct. 10, there will be MLS representation on both sides.

The Mexican Football Federation released the roster for the one-game Confederations Cup playoff on Thursday, and LA Galaxy attacker Giovani Dos Santos was called up to Mexico's squad.

The selection for the LA star comes after he was left off the Mexico's roster for friendlies last month by interim El Tri head coach Ricardo Ferretti, but he has recalled the former U-17 World Cup winner and 2012 Olympics gold medalist. Dos Santos was also a contributor to Mexico's CONCACAF Gold Cup title run this summer.

And dos Santos won't have far to travel for the big game, as it will be held at the Rose Bowl.
