Sebastian Giovinco's 2015 scoring tally runs to 20 as Italian is credited with Toronto FC's first goal vs. Fire

Just how hot is Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco?

The Italian scored another goal this weekend, and he wasn't even on the field when it was awarded.

After further review, statisticians have attributed TFC's opening goal in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Chicago Fire to Giovinco after it was originally credited to teammate Jonathan Osorio.

The goal arrived when Giovinco tracked down a loose ball after delivering a corner kick into the Fire penalty box and lofted an improbable angled drive over goalkeeper Jon Busch and inside the far post.

Osorio appeared to get a slight touch to the cross/shot as he crashed in at the back stick, but subsequent analysis determined that he did not, and Giovinco has thus gained a goal and lost an assist.

The adjustment swells the Atomic Ant's season tally to 20 goals and 15 assists, making him the first player in MLS history to notch 20 strikes and 10 helpers in one season.

Giovinco is now breathing down the neck of MLS Golden Boot frontrunner Kei Kamara, who stands at 22 goals and 8 assists after scoring Columbus Crew SC's only goal in a 2-1 home loss to Portland on Saturday.
