  • The Revolution saw their club-record six-game winning streak put to an end in a 3-0 loss at the Montréal Impact on Saturday evening. The six-game streak matched a similar run in 2005.
  • Union put an end to their four-game winless streak on their home ground, after back-to-back losses at PPL Park, claiming a 2-0 victory against the Houston Dynamo on Sunday afternoon. Tranquillo Barnetta scored his first MLS goal and added an assist in the Union win.
  • The teams are meeting for the third time this season, and the Revolution have won the first two, both on the road. Teal Bunbury set up the tying goal then scored the game-winner, both in the second half, hauling the Revolution back for a 2-1 win April 19 at PPL Park. Diego Fagundez scored the game’s lone goal in New England’s Aug. 29 victory in Chester.
  • The road team has now won each of the last four league meetings between the clubs. The Revolution won 5-3 last May 17 at PPL Park; Union returned the favor with a 3-1 win at Gillette Stadium on June 28.
