Major League Soccer supporters set a new record over the weekend, filling stadiums to capacity for the 137th time this year to set a new mark for sellouts in a season.

According to a statement from an MLS spokesman, the previous record for sellouts in one MLS season was 133. The spokesman also indicated that the league is on track to set a new record for total attendance and average attendance, and expects the total number of sellouts to reach 160 before the end of the year.
