Bank on New York Red Bulls attack as you build your Soccer Sunday DraftKings lineup

Sunday funday is even better with DraftKings and MLS.

This week, the New York Red Bulls fly all the way to the West Coast to take on the Portland Timbers (5 pm ET; ESPN), and the Houston Dynamo head up north and face the Philadelphia Union at PPL Park (7 pm ET; FS1). The Red Bulls are in first in points per game in the Eastern Conference and are only one of two teams in MLS that don’t have a negative goal differential away from home. I'm looking at them to produce results for my DraftKings squad.

Goalkeepers

Obvious Pick: Luis Robles ($4,300) will have his hands full against the Timbers, but Portland have been having problems putting the ball in the back of the net.

Budget Pick: Tyler Deric ($4,100) will definitely be tested at PPL Park. If he can come away unscathed, he could rack up some big bonus points for a slightly cheaper price.

Defenders

Obvious Pick: Fabinho ($5,100) has been a solid choice from the Union for the last several weeks. His scores aren’t usually explosive, but he serves in plenty of crosses.

Sleeper Pick: Kemar Lawrence ($4,500) has started the last three matches for the Red Bulls. He has the ability to go forward and get involved in the attack.

Midfielders

Obvious Pick: Sacha Kljestan ($9,000) scored six, 25, 16 and 24 points in his last four outings. He’s going to be on a lot of squads this weekend. He should be on yours, too.

Budget Pick: Tranquilo Barnetta ($5,800) has scored 10-plus points in his last two starts, and is playing against a leaky Dynamo defense. That's a heck of a bargain.

Forwards

Obvious Pick: Bradley Wright-Phillips ($11,900) has three goals in his last three matches. He hasn’t scored fewer than 10 points in back-to-back games in his last 10 matches, and he only scored three points on Wednesday.

Sleeper Pick: Giles Barnes ($8,400) has been dormant for a while. Is this the weekend he turns up the heat and brings Houston back into playoff contention?
