It will be a critical match for placing in the Eastern Conference when Toronto FC and the New England Revolution meet for a third time this season at BMO Field on Sunday afternoon. The teams are separated by just three points in the conference, both firmly holding places in the top six. TFC return home after seeing their two-game winning run come to an end in a 2-1 loss at Seattle Sounders FC last weekend, while the Revolution won their fourth match in a row, rolling to a 3-0 win against Orlando City SC at Gillette Stadium.

  • Eriq Zavaleta scored the first goal of his MLS career, but Toronto FC had their two-game winning streak put to an end in a 2-1 defeat at Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday evening.
  • The Revolution won their fourth game on the trot – their longest winning run of the season – after their comprehensive 3-0 win against Orlando City SC on Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium. Diego Fagundez scored a goal for a second consecutive game.
