USMNT: Without Clint Dempsey, Jurgen Klinsmann adds Michael Bradley, Jordan Morris to roster

Jozy Altidore embraces Michael Bradley

With a game against Peru in hand to add to his data bank, US national team coach and technical director Jurgen Klinsmann made a few adjustments to the roster, following through on an expected callup of Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley while also tabbing Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson and college standout Jordan Morris of Stanford.

Defender Matt Besler (Sporting KC) and goalkeeper William Yarbrough (Léon) have rejoined their clubs, with Klinsmann notably praising Besler – "We were impressed ... We saw what we needed to see" – while explaining a decision reached in tandem with Sporting KC.

Klinsmann met with striker Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders) to discuss a possible return to national team duty, but even Saturday's brace couldn't mask the nearly three-month absence preceding that game, and Klinsmann's statement indicated the pair felt it best for Dempsey to regain form with the Sounders ahead of October's CONCACAF Cup match vs. Mexico.

Kickoff for Tuesday's friendly against Brazil is set for 8 p.m. ET and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN2, UniMas and Univision Deportes Network.
