Goalkeepers

Clean Sheet King:Adam Kwarasey ($5,300) notched his third straight clean sheet in Portland’s 1-0 win at Real Salt Lake last Saturday. The Timbers goalkeeper now leads the league with 11 clean sheets on the season and welcomes a Houston Dynamo team that has scored just one goal over their previous three road games.

Sean John:Sean Johnson ($4,800) stood on his head to preserve a 3-3 draw at Philadelphia last weekend. While he did concede three times, Johnson had eight saves along the way to turn in a positive fantasy performance. I’m looking for Johnson to continue to produce against a visiting Colorado Rapids attack that has been shut out in four of their last five road games across all competitions.

Defenders

Oyongo-Yo!:Ambroise Oyongo ($5,200) scored nine DraftKings points from crosses alone in his last outing. I expect the left back to continue to play a part in the attack, and the addition of Didier Drogba to the Impact attack gives Oyongo’s already high upside a nice bump.

Bargain Bin:Harrison Afful ($3,000) made his MLS debut midweek, putting up seven points in 60 minutes of action. The Ghanaian international was active on the wing, swinging in six crosses on the night. There is some concern about his match fitness, so keep an eye on the starting lineups before locking him in. If he doesn’t start, Chris Klute ($2,600) or Eric Miller ($2,800) are viable pivots.

Midfielders

Pipa:Federico Higuain ($8,800) posted nine DraftKings points in Crew SC's midweek 2-2 draw with New York City FC, despite not getting on the scoresheet. The pesky playmaker contributes across the board and will be pulling the strings on Saturday against a fatigued Sporting Kansas City team that was just shellacked 5-0 by the San Jose Earthquakes.

Forwards

Golden Boot: The Golden Boot race is heating up, with Kei Kamara ($10,900) currently atop the leaderboard with 18 goals. The Golden Boot frontrunner now gets a date with his former team, Sporting Kansas City, who are reeling from that loss to the Earthquakes. Hot on Kamara’s heels is Sebastian Giovinco ($13,500), who has 16 goals on a league-leading 126 shots. Though he was kept in check in his last outing by the New York Red Bulls, the diminutive Italian faces an Orlando City squad that he hung a hat trick on less than two weeks ago. Find a way to squeeze the Atomic Ant into your lineups.

The Drogba Effect: All eyes will be on Didier Drogba ($7,000), as the Chelsea legend looks all set to make his MLS debut on Saturday night. Drogba could be inserted into the Impact starting XI right away, and I like his chances to find the back of the net against a Philadelphia Union defense that has conceded nine goals in their last four road games.
