The Crowd at Red Bull Arena, August 9, 2015

Last night, things got heated on the field at Red Bull Arena when the New York Red Bulls beat visiting New York City FC 2-0 to complete a season sweep of their crosstown counterparts. But that wasn't the only sweet victory inside the venue.

We've got to give it up to Red Bulls supporters for winning the tifo war – for now, at least – with three clever displays meant to rub some extra-salty salt into lingering rivalry wounds.

First up, the South Ward had an answer to the Third Rail's "Jersey boys" tifo at the last Hudson River Derby. If you'll recall, here's what New York City's supporters came up with back in June.

So here's the South Ward's response.

Zing!

But that wasn't the only pointed tifo jab. The South Ward also served up a little something something about two of New York City's biggest-name DPs.

Perhaps that tifo cursed the team – Pirlo couldn't serve up any magic, and Lampard even got himself nutmegged by Mike Grella (never forget).

Before the derby, the Red Bulls enjoyed a four-game winning streak – and a victory in the last two New York-New York City derbies too – so the team's supporters wisely came prepared for a win. Voilà, the final tifo of the night, unveiled post-game.

UPDATE: The crowd also had a response to an earlier Third Rail oopsie. That happened back in May:

So here's even more trolling, this past Sunday, in response.

Your move, NYCFC.
