Frank, meet Mike: Grella does Lampard dirty in New York Red Bulls win vs. New York City FC | SIDELINE

New York is decidedly red – and Frank Lampard might be, too.

The New York City FC Designated Player got his first taste of the New York derby on Sunday, playing 86 minutes in City’s 2-0 loss at Red Bull Arena. It didn’t go very well for the English legend, who might've gotten a bit flush in the face after Red Bulls midfielder Mike Grella did him dirty.

The Long Island native wrecked Lampard with a silky nutmeg, dribbling through the former Chelsea man’s legs and taking off toward goal before finding Felipe on the left for the Red Bulls’ 85th minute insurance tally.

Grelladinho, indeed.
