All-Star: Clint Dempsey comments on his rap career, Drake/Meek Mill beef | SIDELINE

Clint Dempsey addresses media at All-Star training

Sure, we’re all concerned about how Clint Dempsey might deliver on the pitch Wednesday night at the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game (9 pm ET; FOX Sports 1, UniMás in the US; TSN, RDS in Canada). But Dempsey – who, let’s not forget, just won the Gold Cup Golden Boot and saved the US from otherwise complete embarrassment – boasts non-soccer skills, too.

This may have all faded into a World Cup-era blur, but last year Dempsey promised us a full-length rap album called The Redux co-produced with his buddy XO. They dropped the single “It’s Poppin,” and, oh yes, it was poppin'.

But wither the full Redux album, or anything else? We asked Clint when exactly we could expect at least a fire mixtape.

Bad news, guys: “I don’t know about all that,” he said at MLS All-Star training on Tuesday morning. “I’m focusing on soccer.”

Soccer-focus aside, though, Deuce does at least have feelings on the greatest rap question on Twitter this week: Meek Mill or Drake? Dempsey’s sided with Team Drizzy. “I’ve got more Drake on my iPod,” he said.

And thus spoke the Deuce.
