LA Galaxy DP Giovani Dos Santos excited for MLS move: "I think I came in the best moment of my career"

For Giovani Dos Santos, the time was right.


In a 1-on-1 interview with LAGalaxy.com, the Galaxy’s prized new Designated Player cited the influence of star players like Kaká, Andrea Pirlo, Sebastian Giovinco and new teammates Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard as a big reason why he wanted to make the jump to MLS.


“As a player, you always want to play with great players,” Dos Santos said. “For me, I think I made the right decision to come here to MLS with a really important team – I think the best team in MLS.”


The 26-year-old Mexican national team star also said that coming to MLS in the prime of his career gives him even more cause for excitement.


“I think I came in the best moment of my career as a football player,” he said. “And I hope to give everything to the club and win a lot of titles.”
