The Seattle Sounders veteran started the second half at right back in the USMNT's 6-0 quarterfinal romp of Cuba on Saturday and helped set up the fifth goal when his beautiful ball to Aron Johannsson led to a penalty kick.
On the national stage, Evans is probably best known for his dramatic late winner against Jamaica in World Cup qualifying two years ago.
