Freddy Adu is returning to American soccer.

The midfielder, the youngest player ever signed to an MLS contract, announced on Tuesday he will be joining NASL side Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Adu, 26, joins the Rowdies in the midst of the NASL's 2015 Fall Season, after departing Finnish side KuPS recently. Adu last played in the US for the Philadelphia Union from 2011-13. He has also signed with teams in Brazil, Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Monaco and Portugal in his career.

As his tweet mentions, Adu also reunites with Tampa Bay boss Thomas Rongen, who was US U-20 manager for Adu's stint with that youth national team.
