MLS Save of the Week: Week 18

Can David Ousted make it three Save of the Week wins in a row?

The Vancouver Whitecaps ‘keeper took home the honors in both Week 16 and 17 and is nominated again in Week 18, joining Columbus Crew SC’s Steve Clark, Orlando City SC’s Tally Hall, New York Red Bulls’ Luis Robles and New York City FC’s Josh Saunders in the running for the award.

Ousted is nominated for his tremendous reaction stop on Luis Solignac in Vancouver’s 2-1 loss at Colorado. He’s got some tough competition in Clark, Hall and the New York ‘keepers, with Clark nominated for his diving stop on a Bradley Wright-Phillips header in Crew SC’s 2-1 win over the Red Bulls, Robles in the running for his big save on Kei Kamara, Hall in the mix for his stop on Olmes Garcia in Orlando’s 1-1 draw at RSL, and Saunders up for his late save in NYCFC’s 2-1 victory at Montreal.
