He's one of the most recognizable names in all of American soccer and MLS: With a World Cup under his belt and a starring role for Toronto FC in his return to MLS (five goals in his first 10 games), Jozy Altidore is a known commodity on the international soccer scene.
But you might not know much about how Altidore got his start.
The latest episode of MLS Insider takes you back to the early days of Altidore's life in Florida, where he attended Miami Fusion games as a kid, and it reveals the chance meeting that eventually led him all the way to MLS and a World Cup with the USA.
