Does Portland Timbers defender Nat Borchers have a son in MLS? We may have found out on Father's Day.
If you were watching Sunday's Real Salt Lake-Sporting Kansas City match, you may have noticed a certain red-headed center back for RSL, but it wasn't Borchers. It was 18-year-old defender Justen Glad, who was making his first-ever MLS start at center back.
The two crossed paths during Borchers' years in Salt Lake City and it appears they established a special kinship.
Glad then responded as any son would, complimenting his father's own play.
