American Exports: Cole Grossman helps Bob Bradley's Stabaek keep road unbeaten streak alive

AMSTERDAM – Cole Grossman continued his fine Tippeligaen play with the tying goal as Bob Bradley's Stabæk rallied for a 1-1 Sunday night share at Aalesunds FK.

The former Real Salt Lake midfielder bagged his third goal in 13 league games on the edge of halftime to knot the contest. Grossman received a lob pass from opening scorer Ernest Asante before firing home from a sharp angle.

Despite running their road unbeaten run across all competitions to 10 games, second place Stabæk  slipped two points behind leaders Rosenborg.

Elsewhere, A.J. Soares and Viking snapped a two-game slide by getting back to what they do best in a stingy 2-0 victory away to Bodø/Glimt.

A solid showing from the Dark Blues center back helped the visitors post their fourth shutout in the last six league matches. Glimt right back Zarek Valentin was among the culpable on Viking's 35th-minute capper, while teammate Danny Cruz worked a somewhat active 62-minute wing shift.

The result pushed Viking back into fourth place, while Glimt remained next-to-bottom thanks to their third loss in four.

Sarpsoborg 08 netminder Quentin Westberg stood in for Jamaica's Copa América participant Duwayne Kerr as the home side dropped a 2-0 decision to Rosenborg.

The American notched five saves, including show-stoppers to deny Tobias Mikkelsen early and Jonas Svensson late. However, it was not enough to keep ninth place Sarpsborg from suffering a third consecutive home loss.

Finally, Rhett Bernstein was a last-minute substitute in Mjøndalen's 1-1 draw at FK Haugesund. Though winless in five league rounds, the promoted side held firm in 11th place.
