First EA Sports FIFA 16 trailer teases potential CenturyLink Field inclusion | SIDELINE

CenturyLink Field

There's more than three months left until the latest installment of EA Sports' FIFA series hits stores in North America, but the hype is already beginning.

EA Sports released the first trailer of FIFA 16 on Monday, and there's no shortage of things to be excited about if you're an avid gamer. Updated appearances like Leo Messi and his new tattoo sleeve are in the game, as are some new flicks and tricks. There also appears to be a hint of the introduction of a new stadium that MLS fans will be very familiar with.

The Seattle Sounders' CenturyLink Field looks to be included in the game this year (0:21 mark), though the shade of that clip in the trailer is darker than the rest to leave room for doubt. The backdrop of a downtown area and stadium design still indicate that it is the Sounders' home, however.

There is no offical word yet as to if EA Sports plans to include more MLS stadiums in FIFA 16 this year, but a major complaint over the years from MLS fans that are also avid FIFA gamers is that there aren't enough of MLS venues in the hit video game. Currently, only the Vancouver Whitecaps' BC Place is available to be played in.

FIFA 16 will be released in North America on Sept. 22 on consoles Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3. It will also be available for PC.
