Save of the Week update: Montreal Impact's Evan Bush builds strong lead in Week 12 race

MLS Save of the Week: Week 12

Evan Bush’s fingertips saved a victory for the Montreal Impact against FC Dallas last weekend, and now they’re closing in on Week 12 MLS Save of the Week honors.

With one day left to vote, the Ohio-bred goalkeeper’s acrobatic denial of Blas Pérez has built a substantial lead on his rivals for this week’s honors, garnering 48.58 percent of ballots cast as of Thursday morning.

Seattle Sounders backstop Stefan Frei, sitting on 30.27 percent, looks like the only contender who can still catch Bush – but it’ll take a furious late rally to make up the gap.

Much further back, Brian Sylvestre (8.97 percent), Clint Irwin (6.11 percent) and Steve Clark (6.07 percent) round out this week’s field.

But you've still got time to weight in and make sure your voice is heard.  Cast your ballot in the poll at right.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursday. For complete coverage of the MLS Save of the Week – including an archive of all of this season’s nominees and winners – click here.
