Servando Carrasco, Dom Dwyer get cheeky on Sporting Kansas City's #JerseyFriday | SIDELINE

Servando Carrasco and Dom Dwyer pay tribute to their USWNT spouses

Does your workplace have a “casual Friday” policy? How about “jersey Friday”?

How about if you showed up leaving all too little to the imagination in your significant other’s tightest workout outfit?

Clearly everyone at Sporting Kansas City is having fun with their club’s practice of wearing non-Sporting jerseys to work on Fridays; team photos show a rainbow of seemingly random gear from across the soccer world and beyond.

But Servando Carrasco pushed the boundaries in a different direction this week.

The midfielder rolled in to SKC’s Swope Park training ground wearing a tribute to his wife, US women’s national team star Alex Morgan, that appeared to involve not only the jersey that she and the rest of the USWNT will wear at the Women’s World Cup this summer, but also a pair of short shorts plucked right out of her dresser.

Joining him in the USWNT theme was Dom Dwyer, clad in his spouse Sydney Leroux’s jersey – which appeared to be padded for effect.

With attention-grabbing stunts like that, it’s unfair – but hardly surprising – that Seth Sinovic’s retro Wizards shirt and Matt Besler’s old-school Charles Barkley replica got pushed into the shade a bit. Also of note – US U-20 World Cup call-up Erik Palmer-Brown sporting the kit of the team that's reportedly hot on his heels, UEFA Champions League finalists Juventus.
