The Vancouver Whitecaps may not be able to take the pitch for the first leg of their Amway Canadian Championship semifinal series against FC Edmonton on Wednesday night (10 pm ET, Sportsnet 360 in Canada, MLS LIVE in USA), with snowy conditions at the NASL club’s Clarke Field putting tonight’s scheduled match in jeopardy.

The Canadian Soccer Association tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that it’s working with stadium personnel to determine if the field can be cleared in time for the scheduled 10 pm ET kickoff. A final decision on whether or not the game will be played will be made at 4 pm ET.

Forecasters predict that Edmonton will receive 5-10 centimeters – roughly 2-4 inches – of snow by Wednesday night.
