TRANSFER DEADLINE: Tuesday, 8:30 PM ET
There's the wisdom of crowds, and then there's the wishful thinking of crowds.
It seems logical that if a player receives a large amount of transfers in for a given round, then MLS Fantasy managers believe that the player is going to produce. In this week’s Bonus Points, we’re going to see how often that's actually the case.
Here are the top five transfer targets for the last five rounds:

After Round 4, managers drooled at Ike Opara’s 17-round bonanza. Unfortunately, Sporting KC gave up two goals in a 3-2 win to the Union in Round 5, and Opara scored two points.
Managers' instincts were better in Round 6, notching 10 points with Octavio Rivero on his double game week. David Ousted, Pedro Morales, Kei Kamara, and Matias Laba all had good DGW showings, aside from Morales’ poor judgment at the very end of the week, which led to a red card and subsequent suspension.
Aside from Kamara’s 11 points against the Philadelphia Union, Rounds 7 through 9 were fairly mediocre. All told, there have definitely been better options than the top transferred players pretty much every week.

The moral of the story? Just because a player is a popular choice for the week doesn’t make him the right choice. Keep that in mind when you make your transfers this week!
