MLS Insider: How Scottish international Shaun Maloney sparks the Chicago Fire

MLS INSIDER, presented by adidas: "Scottish Spark"

After the Chicago Fire set an MLS record by drawing 18 of their 34 regular-season games in 2015, missing the playoffs in the process, head coach Frank Yallop was on a mission to add attacking talent for the 2015 season.

One of his solutions was a player first put on his radar back in 2001, when a Scottish teenager named Shaun Maloney was breaking into the first team at renowned Glasgow powerhouse Celtic.

The latest edition of MLS Insider lets Maloney explain his move from Wigan Athletic in the Premier League to Chicago, a place he says "just felt normal," in time for the 2015 season.

Maloney also touches on his continuing international career, Wigan's stunning FA Cup run in 2013 and how he has settled into the Chicago locker room, where Yallop believes he can be a difference-maker.
