Transfer Watch: Colorado Rapids reportedly set to add Argentine forward Luis Solignac

Reported Colorado Rapids target Luis Solignac with Nueva Chicago - Transfer Watch

The Colorado Rapids may be waiting for the arrival of Irish international striker Kevin Doyle, but that still might not stop them from adding another forward to their roster as they seek to jumpstart their attack.

According to a report from ESPN Deportes, the Rapids have reportedly made a move to sign Argentine forward Luis Solignac. The 24-year-old Solignac has scored twice in 10 league appearances for Argentine second division club Nueva Chicago, and also has experience playing in Europe after suiting up for the likes of Portuguese side Braga and Swedish outfit Djurgardens.

A transfer fee has reportedly been agreed to.

The Rapids, who are awaiting Doyle's summer arrival after signing him to a Designated Player deal, are currently in last place in the Western Conference with six points earned in as many games. The club has scored five times so far in 2015, but four of their goals came in a lopsided victory over FC Dallas.
