What Brek Shea did on Tuesday afternoon was beautiful.

The Orlando City SC defender scored this free kick goal against Switzerland to give the US a 1-0 lead heading into halftime of their eventual 1-1 draw in Zurich:

The goal was the US national team's first directly from a free kick since August 2013, when Jozy Altidore curled one in against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

But this wasn't the first free kick goal a US player has scored against the Swiss. In the 1994 World Cup, Eric Wynalda scored off a free kick in the 45^th minute to tie the match up 1-1 at the Pontiac Silverdome. Here it is:
