Here are boxscores from the Day 1 action:

Champions Division
FC Dallas 3, Athletic Bilbao 0

A terrific individual effort from FC Dallas forward Giovanni Montesdeoca just 10 minutes into the game spurred FC Dallas to a dominant performance and a 3-0 win over highly regarded Athletic Bilbao in the final game of the 14 played Sunday to open the 2015 Generation adidas Cup.

Montesdeoca forced a turnover, took a backheel pass from Devin Vega and broke into the right side of the penalty area before cutting past a defender and using the outside of his right foot to rifle a shot inside the far post. Dallas grew in confidence after that goal, forcing six saves out of Bilbao goalkeeper Ander Iruarrizaga. With Ben Hale making three saves in the Dallas goal, including a key second-half free kick, Dallas put the game away with goals from right back Reggie Cannon – after a midfield give-and-go and a 40-yard run – and Montesdeoca again after a skilled through ball played by Benji Granillo.
