AMSTERDAM – Eric Lichaj punctuated a star display at left back by notching an assist on the insurance goal in Nottingham Forest's 2-0 home victory over Rotherham on Wednesday night.

The American defender executed a handful of key attacking passes while completing 43 of 54 overall on the night. Just before halftime, Lichaj unleashed Michail Antonio to race in and score the Reds’ second.

On the defensive end, Lichaj led all players with six area clearances and three blocked crosses. The defender capped a strong night with a huge shot block on the doorstep in the 74th minute.

The win – the club’s fifth straight at City Ground – keeps Forest in ninth-place in the Championship, eight points behind sixth-place Brentford with eight matches remaining.
