CONCACAF Gold Cup trophy

The road to the 2015 Gold Cup will go through Philadelphia.

CONCACAF on Thursday announced the complete groups and match schedule for the biennial championship for national teams in the North, Central American and Caribbean region and selected Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field as the host for the Gold Cup final (July 26). PPL Park, home of MLS club Philadelphia Union, will be the site for the third-place match (July 25).

Tickets for the event are available via exclusive presale and will be open to the general public beginning Thursday, March 19.

The 2015 Gold Cup opens at Toyota Stadium, home of FC Dallas, on Tuesday, July 7 with a Group A doubleheader as the defending tournament champion USA host the winner of the March playoff between Honduras and French Guiana following the match-up between Panama and Haiti. Group A will then move to Boston (Gillette Stadium, July 10) and conclude at Sporting Park in Kansas City (July 13).

The Canadian national team finds itself in a tough Group B with World Cup quarterfinalists Costa Rica, El Salvador and Jamaica. The Canadians’ round-robin of doubleheaders will run through Los Angeles (StubHub Center, July 8) and Houston (BBVA Compass Stadium, July 11) before wrapping up in the friendly confines of BMO Field in Toronto (July 14).

Six-time Gold Cup champs Mexico headline Group C which also features Guatemala, Trinidad & Tobago and Cuba. The Group C doubleheaders will be held in Chicago (Soldier Field, July 9), Phoenix (University of Phoenix Stadium, July 12) and Charlotte (Bank of America Stadium, July 15).

The quarterfinals and semifinals will all take place on the East Coast. Baltimore (M&T Bank Stadium, July 18) and New York (MetLife Stadium, July 19) will split the four quarterfinal matches, while Atlanta’s Georgia Dome will host both semis in a July 22 doubleheader. All four semifinalists will then make the short trek to Philadelphia for the final and third-place match just days later.
