American Exports: Daniel Williams puts in defensive shift Reading pull away from the relegation zone

AMSTERDAM – Reading midfielder Daniel Williams worked a decent shift before departing in stoppage time of a 2-1 Championship victory over Tuesday night guests Brighton Hove & Albion.

The US international was not quite as accurate as usual in the passing game and did not participate much in the attacking third as the Seagulls hogged 62% of the ball. However, Williams picked off four passes and added a pair of tackles, while working clean of any fouls or handling turnovers.

By posting their first league win in four, the Royals climbed two spots to 16th place.
