Landon Donovan lifts MLS Cup 2014 (Dec. 7, 2014)

Major League Soccer welcomed Audi to its stable of commercial partners on Friday, naming the German automaker "the Official Automotive Partner of MLS" and the presenting sponsor of the MLS Cup Playoffs.

So the car kings greeted MLS fans with a welcome gift of their own to help them get hyped up for the opening weekend of the 2015 season.

Distilling so much of what we love about the league into a lightning-quick, 30-second video spot dubbed "The Game," Audi made it clear that they understand what powers MLS players, coaches and fans. The clip will air during national broadcasts on the league's three television outlets, ESPN, FOX and the Univision Networks. And there's more where that came from.

Audi will roll out more such content in the months ahead, using 2015 footage taken both on the field and in the stands to reflect the MLS experience.

“Audi remains committed to soccer and raising the profile of the game in the United States,” said Loren Angelo, Director of Marketing for Audi of America. “Last year the league’s attendance hit an all-time high. As a major supporter of the sport globally, we’re looking forward to cultivating the enthusiasm of soccer stateside and driving participation of the sport in a new way.”
