When schedules come out, everybody wants to cut to the chase: When are the rivalry matches?
We list them all for you below, including the new one that will debut in 2015 between the New York Red Bulls and expansion side New York City FC. The first meeting between these two clubs will take place on Sunday, May 10, at Red Bull Arena (7 pm ET; Fox Sports 1).
The league's rivalry matches will be concentrated over two specific weekends -- June 26-28 and Aug. 28-30 -- for MLS Rivalry Week, presented by Heineken.
The first Rivalry Week on June 26-28 will see the Texas Derby, the second NYC battle and a Cascadia Cup match between the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers. The second weekend on Aug. 28-30 will see the California Clasico, the Atlantic Cup and another Sounders-Timbers match take center stage.
