SURVEY: What's the best rivalry in MLS? Here's an update on last week's survey

As part of MLSsoccer.com's comprehensive guide to of the 2015 season, we asked fans to rank the top rivalries in MLS last week.


So far the voting has gone pretty much the way you'd expect. The current top five are listed below:


1. Seattle-Portland
2. LA Galaxy-Seattle
3. Red Bulls-D.C. United
4. Colorado-Real Salt Lake
5. Dallas-Houston


If you are wondering why the Sounders currently sit at No. 1 and No. 2, all you have to do is look at the voting numbers by state. So far over more than 5,000 votes have come in from the United States, with a whopping 22 percent coming from Washington state alone. California (14 percent), New Jersey (9 percent), and Oregon (8 percent) follow the Sounders' home state. Meanwhile, fewer than 500 votes have come in from Canada.


Looks like MLSers outside Cascadia need to make their voices heard. Rally to help push your rivalry (or another deserving matchup) up the board!
