AMSTERDAM – Sunderland Under-21 attacker Lynden Gooch has been loaned out to fifth-flight Gateshead for 28 days, the club announced on Friday.
The US U-20 international, who recently extended his Black Cats deal to the summer of 2017, will be available for selection when the Tynesiders host Bristol Rovers in Conference Premier action on Saturday.
Gooch has made 16 U-21 Premier League appearances for Sunderland this season, notching one assist. Among his new teammates is veteran winger John Oster, who previously ran in attacks with Bobby Convey at Reading and with Claudio Reyna at Sunderland.
