WATCH: Erick "Cubo" Torres scores again for Chivas in Copa MX | SIDELINE

Erick Cubo Torres

He hasn't had much playing time so far on loan with Chivas de Guadalajara, but Erick "Cubo" Torres is trying to make the time he does play count.

The striker, signed as a Designated Player by the Houston Dynamo in December, scored the winning goal for Chivas in Copa MX play on Tuesday against second division side Irapuato.

Torres, who has been a fixture for Guadalajara in Copa MX this season, has scored two goals in that competition in five games played. Despite that, he has not managed to break into CD Guadalajara coach Jose Manuel de la Torre's squad in league play, as he's only featured in two Liga MX games, both off the bench, to date. He's scored zero goals in 30 minutes of league play.

Chivas are currently in pole position in Group 4 of Copa MX, with just the return leg against Irapuato left to play at home next week. The first place finisher in each group is guaranteed to advance to the championship phase of the competition.
