AMSTERDAM – Bolton ace Tim Ream will miss Tuesday's trip to visit Championship title chasers Middlesbrough with a sore back, but is slated for a return to full training later in the week.

The reigning Wanderers Player of the Year collided hard with the post during the first half of Saturday's loss to Nottingham Forest. Sunday night scans came back negative, but Tuesday's match comes a little too soon.

"He originally hurt his back in the [Feb. 14] game against Watford and he aggravated it against Forest," Bolton press officer Daniel Houlker told MLSsoccer.com. "He'll sit out Tuesday, but should be back in training on Thursday or Friday."

Ream has worked five positions in his 35 games across all competition this term, notching two assists. Bolton currently stand 18th, six points clear of the relegation muck.
