IMG Suncoast Pro Classic

The IMG Suncoast Pro Classic kicks off on Wednesday, with four MLS teams – Columbus Crew SC, Philadelphia Union, New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC – beginning their run at the tournament this afternoon/evening.

In the early game Columbus cruised past London United, a team made up of out-of-contract players that replaced Congolese side TP Mazembe, by a score of 7-0. Philadelphia followed that up with a 3-0 win over the Costa Rica Under-23s, with a pair of goals from Sebastien Le Toux and one more from Cristian Maidana. And the Red Bulls played to a 1-1 draw against Danish side HB Koge, with Mike Grella scoring for New York.

In the nightcap, Toronto FC lost 1-0 to USL side OKC Energy FC, courtesy of a 50th minute strike from Kyle Greig. Meanwhile, Luke Moore missed an opportunity to level the game for the Canadian outfit, as he missed a penalty kick.
