Sporting KC's Dom Dwyer ties the knot with US women's national team star Sydney Leroux

Sydney Leroux and Dom Dwyer

US women's national team star Sydney Leroux and Sporting KC forward Dom Dwyer have tied the knot, and it seems only fitting that the two professional soccer players who wear numbers 2 and 14, respectively, revealed that fact on Valentine's Day.

Late on Saturday, the couple put out images on social media unveiling the news that they are now married.

The news first broke on People.com, who called the pair a "soccer power couple."

The duo began dating last year and attended a Kansas City Royals baseball game together in October. They officially revealed they were a couple in December.

Since then, 22-goal scorer Dwyer and Leroux -- who is currently preparing for this summer's Women's World Cup -- have kept fans in a frenzy with a steady stream of romantic tweets and Instagram images.

A few days ago, Dwyer unveiled that he bought a new house. Presumably, it's big enough for two.

So, what shall we call them? Do they need a "Bennifer"-style nickname? LeDwyeroux? DomNey? It looks like Leroux herself is already working on her preferred nomenclature.
