MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy re-sign midfielder Rafael Garcia

Rafael Garcia, LA Galaxy (2013)

The LA Galaxy announced on Monday that they have re-signed 25-year-old midfielder Rafael Garcia. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 25-year-old Garcia was drafted by the Galaxy in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft, and has appeared in 11 regular season games in his first three years in LA (2012-2014).

Last year the former Cal State Northridge player was a mainstay for the club's USL PRO side, LA Galaxy II, recording six goals and four assists in 23 games.

Garcia, born in Granada Hills, Calif., had his contract option declined by the Galaxy at the end of the 2014 season and went unselected in the Re-Entry process before ultimately re-signing with the defending MLS Cup champions.
