The path from youth national teams to the senior team is littered with stars, also-rans and busts.
Since 1997 168 players have been part of a United States U-20 World Cup roster, or in one case, 2011, the CONCACAF qualifying roster. Just 60 of those players have registered a cap with the US national team.
Some of the 108 players yet to appear will likely make his senior team debut in the near future (Perry Kitchen, Wil Trapp), but many will never get that opportunity.
Meanwhile, five players have more than 100 caps after appearing for the U-20 team, 11 have hit 50, and 34 have 10 or more.
Below is a table of all the players since 1997 to play for the U-20 team and register a cap for the senior team.
