The New England Revolution announced Monday that they have signed former Seattle Sounders Homegrown player Sean Okoli to a contract after trading for his rights last week during the MLS SuperDraft.

Okoli (above, right), 21, made three appearances for the Sounders last season after signing on with the club in January. The Revs acquired his rights in exchange for their second round pick (33rd overall) in the draft.

Okoli is scheduled to join up with his Revolution teammates for the first time later this week when the club comes together for the start of preseason training.

Prior to signing with the Sounders, Okoli starred at Wake Forest University, earning All-ACC honors in each of his three seasons with the Demon Deacons.
