American Exports: Geoff Cameron's Stoke visit London in search of another win over Arsenal

Geoff Cameron, Stoke City (January 1, 2015)

AMSTERDAM – The slimmer holiday season schedule will not grant a rest to Americans playing on either side of the English Channel this weekend, with Geoff Cameron and Stoke City hitting the road to shoot for their third straight Premier League win over Arsenal.

All times listed in ET.

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Brad Guzan – Aston Villa at Leicester City (Saturday, 10 am on Premier League Extra Time)

The US No. 1 will go without back line marshal Ron Vlaar when the Villans carry a five-game EPL win drought to Leicester. Guzan backstopped a 2-1 win in the season's earlier meeting. Villa have won on both of their prior visits to King Power Stadium, and have lost but one of the five road games against the Foxes overall.

Geoff Cameron – Stoke City at Arsenal (Sunday, 8:30 am on NBCSN)

The American has worked both right back and defensive midfield recently, but it remains to be seen which post he will man when the Potters attempt to complete their first season sweep over Arsenal at the Emirates. Stoke's last road over the Gunners came 34 years ago; since then, they've dropped 10 straight in north London, with Cameron involved in the last two. The hosts will have Olivier Giroud back from a ban, and possibly see the injury returns of Mesut Özil and Aaron Ramsey.

FRENCH LIGUE 1

Alejandro Bedoya – Nantes vs. Metz (Sunday, 11 am on beIN Sport)

Likely starter Bedoya and the Canaries will be aiming to close ground on the European places with a third straight win this weekend. Meanwhile, relegation bait Metz will arrive having pocketed just one point from their last seven league matches. The visitors have not won at Stade de la Beaujoire in 15 years, but they have managed four consecutive draws there. This time, though, they run without starting backstop Johann Carrasso.
