DeAndre Yedlin is one step closer to making his Tottenham debut.
The former Seattle Sounders Homegrown Player trained with the Premier League side on Wednesday for the first time since arriving at the start of the new year. The US national-team youngster also decided on his jersey number, picking No. 12.
Despite having just joined the club, Tottenham's loaded schedule could pave the way for Yedlin to see some playing time. Spurs play six more times before the end of January, including one FA Cup match and a two-leg League Cup semifinal against Sheffield United.
Having established himself as a regular for the Sounders in 2013-14, the 21-year-old Yedlin signed a pre-contract with Tottenham last summer after impressing at the World Cup.
